


As an installation artist, my work has always been based on actual stories from my life. Stories that help provide a jumping off point for audiences to remember their own lives. I plan to discuss my recent change of focus—using others stories to be the theme of my installations.
Joel Armstrong works full time as assistant professor at John Brown University in Arkansas, where he teaches drawing and illustration. Since 1999, he has focused his fine art endeavors on installation art. Armstrong works with wire and rust as a medium, rather than more traditional drawing material.
